Democrats to Aggressively Probe Companies, Contractors, Techs Who Helped Trump’s Projects

Congressional Democrats are planning and launching aggressive investigations into major corporations, defense contractors, and tech giants that donated to President Donald Trump’s privately funded $300 million–$600 million White House ballroom project and other administration initiatives. All this will cost companies a lot of money and stress.

Lawmakers have focused on firms including Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Nvidia, Coinbase, Palantir, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Salesforce, and ServiceNow over potential “pay-to-play” concerns, tax deductions, and whether donations intersected with antitrust or regulatory matters.

There is no predicate for this.

Investigations Are What Democrats Plan to Do for 2 Years

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, sent a warning letter through the National Defense Industrial Association asking whether contractor contributions to the ballroom were tied to federal awards, Pentagon loans, or access to officials.

Senators Richard Blumenthal and Elizabeth Warren demanded records from 14 undisclosed major donors ($100K to $25M).

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), in line to chair the House Oversight Committee, targeted Defense Department loans (such as Vulcan Elements) and corporate donations linked to policy delays.

Rep. Jared Huffman and the House Natural Resources Committee prepared subpoenas and investigations into projects including the White House ballroom, a 250-foot triumphal arch, the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool renovation, and Yosemite National Park land swaps, detailed via Time.

The excuse is that they are looking for pay-to-play, but they have no basis for it. It is the kind of thing communist nations engage in. The only reason for this is revenge. Democrats plan to weaponize government and put the fear of God in anyone who helps their opposition. That is the only thing that makes sense. The number of investigations Democrats have planned is beyond the pale.

After building his Totalitarian Command Center at taxpayers’ expense, Barack Obama said the Ballroom looks like a Cheesecake Factory. I want to find out where his Cheesecake Factory is because I want to go there. I have never been in one like this:
