Rep. Ramirez Still Wants to Abolish ICE, DHS & CBP
Democrat Rep. Delia Ramirez responded to the Republican Party’s blowout election by claiming it means people want her open-borders policies.
“Across the country, Americans have chosen pro-immigrant, pro-worker, pro-peace, pro-humanity fighters centered on the shared struggles of everyday working people,” she said.
She thinks she has a mandate to “humanely” let people come here illegally.
Canceling ICE, CBP, DHS
Ramirez introduced the Reimagining Safety Act in September and related legislation targeting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). With Co-sponsors like radical Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Adelita Grijalva, and Jim McGovern, the bill aims to dismantle the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and eliminate Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Border Patrol.
The legislation proposes creating a new, cabinet-level Department of Community Safety, transferring FEMA and CISA to it, moving the TSA and Coast Guard to the Department of Transportation, shifting customs functions to the Treasury Department, and moving immigration functions to the Department of Justice. It also seeks to redirect federal funds from DHS enforcement and private detention contracts toward housing, healthcare, and education.
Basically, she wants to declaw and gut them, and end detentions and deportations.
In January 2026, Ramirez introduced the Melt ICE Act to end DHS funding for detaining or monitoring immigrants, along with the DHS Use of Force Oversight Act and the No Shock Act to restrict ICE gear.
She’s mentally challenged.
The good news is President Trump isn’t going anywhere for two years, and he will veto their radical ideas. If they win the presidency, we will see all internal enforcement eliminated. It’s one of the top Democrat goals.
After the election returns came in, she proudly rattled off a list of Trump administration officials and allies she appeared eager to haul before Congress. “Noem, Markwayne, Miller, Homan, Bovino, what’s up? Clear your schedule,” Ramirez wrote.
This is what you get with Democrats. I suppose people forgot how bad they are.
