Oh My, Peltola’s Response to the Dan Sullivan Fraud Is Like a Confession
The New York Times exposed election fraud in the Peltola campaign, which some call mere clever trickery. The Democratic candidate, Mary Peltola, approved of the campaign hunt for another Dan Sullivan to trick voters into voting for a fake candidate named Daniel J. Sullivan. They found one, and it might shave votes off the incumbent, Daniel S. Sullivan. It certainly causes confusion.
Instead of apologizing, Peltola deflected, a tactic Democrats have honed for when they get caught doing something underhanded or illegal. The Times indicated Peltola certainly knew about the hunt for another Dan Sullivan.
“It also involved the Peltola campaign’s lawyers, as well as senior aides at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee [DSCC],” The Times noted, while adding that a former campaign manager and aide told them that “Ms. Peltola was not directly involved in the project, but she was ‘definitely aware.'”
The campaign and the DSCC “denied participating in efforts to recruit spoilers to the ballot in Alaska.” Ms. Peltola seemed rehearsed and aggressive when asked about the report on Wednesday afternoon.
Peltola called it a “distraction!!!”
At a rally in Soldotna today, US Senate candidate Mary Peltola said the media’s focus should be on Alaska’s high cost of living and Sen. Sullivan’s support of the war in Iran — not who is on the ballot. “Nobody at the New York Times cares about affordability in Alaska.” https://t.co/Ptg9kEOAtH
