Kathy and Tish Say Jail Doesn’t Work for Illegal Aliens

Under  Gov. Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia ‘Tish’ James is pleased to inform you that they are ending immigration detention contracts. New Yorkers will be more vulnerable to anonymous strangers of ill will. It’s important because how else can they one day vote for Democrats if we deport them?

Hochul sent a letter to local officials, county executives, and sheriffs across New York State. She reminded them that their legal obligation is to end any agreement to house or detain people for federal civil immigration violations. They must do this by November 25 of this year.

The New York one-party state passed a bill that prohibits helping ICE working with local governments. ICE is trying to make us safe from all the criminal aliens and other aliens who are living off us.

Putting Them in Prison Doesn’t Make Us Safer

Apparently, Hochul thinks detaining aliens doesn’t make us safer. Leaving these anonymous people on the streets is somehow better. That’s paradoxical. And it just so happens that it pleases the extreme hardcore left of her party.

“When I signed the Local Cops, Local Crimes Act into law, I made it clear that our local law enforcement should be focused on protecting New Yorkers and keeping dangerous criminals off our streets, not helping ICE carry out their aggressive deportation agenda,” said Governor Hochul. “Allowing ICE to utilize our local jails for civil immigration detention does not make our communities safer. Today’s reminder ensures that counties across the state are prepared to fully wind down any agreement that gives federal agents access to local jails in New York.”

She said the Feds can’t even contract for prison space unless an alien committed a crime here. Invading the country illegally is okay, despite violating Federal law. Who knows what crimes they might have committed in their homeland. Kathy doesn’t care, neither does Tish.

The open borders crowd calls everyone who invades an “immigrant.”
