Judge Tosses Administration Lawsuit Over Alaska Fraud

Federal judge Sharon L. Gleason, working on Sunday, has thrown out the administration’s lawsuit over the two Sullivans on the ballot.

In a plot to trick Alaska voters, team Peltola, a Senate candidate, planned to put fake candidates on the ballot to shave votes from the incumbent Daniel S. Sullivan.

Daniel J. Sullivan, who said he hates Donald Trump, is running to hurt the Republican incumbent, as is Gerald Heikes. Both were lured by Team Peltola into running as spoilers.

The Trump administration’s lawsuit seeks to block certification of the state’s Senate election results in this week’s midterm elections if the Republican incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan loses.

The Story

U.S. District Judge Sharon L. Gleason wrote in a 20-page order Sunday that the Justice Department did not have proper legal standing to bring the suit last week.

Gleason was appointed by Barack Obama. Gleason is the judge who reinstated the two Sullivans. She is fine with the fraud.

However, the administration is also investigating the plot for potential criminality.

Federal judges now have tremendous power over the president.
