The Alliance from the Insane Asylum Known as Canada

At the Canada-EU Summit on October 30, 2026, Prime Minister Mark Carney, Ursula von der Leyen, and António Costa unveiled over 20 measures on affordability, youth mobility, digital trade, and cooperation in minerals, energy, AI, and supercomputing.

The ‘Alliance for the Future’ in Montreal positioned Canada as a potential first associate EU member, building on CETA with shared values emphasized over geography.

Carney touted benefits like lower costs and new opportunities. But critics like Pierre Poilievre questioned sovereignty and the lack of a vote, urging focus on domestic issues like food and housing prices.

EU President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU is “building the alliance for the future” with Canada as the “nucleus.”

It sounds like the authoritarian globalists who call themselves liberals are trying to establish a New World Order that leaves the people and all that sovereignty entails behind.

This Clip came via Tablesalt, who wondered, but not really, if anyone in Canada voted for this.

It is ironic that Carney claims: “More opportunity, lower costs, and greater sovereignty on both sides of the Atlantic.” How do you keep your sovereignty by becoming allied to a globalist totalitarian entity like the EU while letting foreigners pour in who won’t assimilate? Carney recently stated it is time to allow more immigrants into Canada.

Sovereignty Means the Collective

The announcement begins, “A more dangerous and divided world has fundamentally changed the requirements of sovereignty. It is no longer enough for nations to feed, fuel, and defend themselves. Today, true sovereignty – the ability to live our lives as we choose – requires secure access to critical minerals, semiconductors, payment systems, energy, vaccines, space-based communications, and artificial intelligence (AI).”

They call it “collective sovereignty.”

They are basically saying that because they- meaning Carney and the EU- have shared values and needs. Therefore, sovereignty means their massive collective: the EU and Canada. They must do it together. Usually, sovereignty is that each nation governs itself. They want a world order of the EU and Canada.

One of the Alliance’s goals is to defy President Trump. Carney said he is waiting him out.

You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland).

You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.
