NYC Considers Legislation to Codify Polyamorous Marriages
Aside from religious considerations, one of the reasons I supported unions over same-sex marriages was that I knew the left would then go into all kinds of unusual marriages. For example, the Left is pushing for polyamorous marriages, which are bad for society, for women, and for the children. Unsurprisingly, the left’s push to grant legal protections to polyamorous relationships is now with the New York City Council.
Outside of Dearborn, New York City is a perfect place to push it because radical Islamists have been moving in at a rapid pace.
According to the New York Sun, the New York City Council is weighing legislation to codify “nonmonogamous families” as a protected group under the Five Boroughs’ Human Rights Law.
The slide toward legalizing polygamy is the latest vindication of the warning from the conservative dissenters when the Supreme Court found a constitutional right to same-sex marriage.
The legislation is needed because these “nonmonogamous families,” Ms. Hudson asserts in a memo supporting the proposed law, “are not protected from discrimination by city law.” The measure, in Ms. Hudson’s telling, is meant to ensure that legal “protections apply regardless of the number of people involved in a relationship or the nature of their emotional or caregiving bonds,” provided that “the relationship is lawful.”
Radical Islamists don’t allow women to have multiple husbands, but they allow men to have four wives.
Aside from the anti-Americanism, it will involve welfare fraud, clerical issues, morality concerns, and basically affect everything we do eventually.
