Update on Poland: Stalemate as Civil War Threatens
Lawyers in Poland are saying there is no legitimate basis for Prime Minister Tusk’s actions this past week. Even lawyers close to Tusk agree. Cities strongly supportive of the Prime Minister are protesting his actions.
President Nawrocki has given another speech but has not acted as of this morning. If he acts, he is taking on the EU, and he could incite civil war. Nawrocki knows Tusk has gone too far and has dug in, but Nawrocki must try to avert a catastrophe. He also doesn’t control the police or the military.
Nawrocki would prefer to solve this peacefully. However, one of the two will win, and the other will leave.
As for the EU, they support Tusk. They probably encouraged it.
It seems that @donaldtusk has acted illegally in Poland 🇵🇱. Even lawyers close to Tusk say “there is absolutely no legal basis for such behaviour of the govt.
The President of the Supreme Court & President National Administrative Court say “there is no legitimate basis.”
The man being interviewed is @marcin_przydacz who is Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President.. He is from the rival PiS party.
Wygląda na to, że Donald Tusk dopuścił się w Polsce 🇵🇱 działań niezgodnych z prawem. Nawet prawnicy związani z Tuskiem przyznają, że „dla takiego postępowania rządu nie ma absolutnie żadnej podstawy prawnej”.
Prezes Sądu Najwyższego oraz prezes Naczelnego Sądu Administracyjnego stwierdzają, że „brak jest jakiejkolwiek uzasadnionej podstawy”.
Osobą udzielającą wywiadu jest Marcin Przydacz, sekretarz stanu w Kancelarii Prezydenta. Należy on do przeciwnego obozu politycznego – partii PiS.
