British counterterrorism police are investigating after two Latvian men, aged 33 and 36, who are living in the UK, were arrested inside a Royal Air Force base used by US personnel, authorities said on Thursday.

It’s another NATO base.

The arrests come weeks after a suspected terror plot targeting another British airbase used by the US military raised concerns about security at military sites across Britain. The US subsequently removed all of its bombers from that base.

Police said there was nothing so far to suggest the incident at RAF Molesworth in eastern England was linked to the suspected plot against RAF Fairford in western England, which has been used by the US military to launch missions against Iran.

Nothing suggests it’s connected to RAF Molesworth? It could be because it just happened. Two RAF bases in the UK is a connection.

They are only 76 miles apart, and the intruders must realize that they will get right out of prison.

Are these trial runs?

We are glad they caught them, but we hope all NATO bases in Europe have tighter security.
